Ben Trott is a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Philosophy and Art Theory in the Faculty of Cultural Studies at Leuphana University of Lüneburg where he is also a spokesperson for the University's Gender and Diversity Research Network. His research combines three areas of inquiry. First, queer theory and gender studies. Second, critical political economy and contemporary forms of labour -- particularly affective, emotional, immaterial and 'feminised' labour. And third, social movements and contentious politics. He was previously a lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Cardiff University and a Postdoctoral Associate with the Program in Literature at Duke University.
