Noopur Raval

Noopur Raval is a PhD candidate in the Informatics Department at the University of California Irvine. She studies digital platforms and their role in reshaping traditional work and consumption practices with a focus on Global South contexts. She is also interested and invested in building pro-worker technologies outside of organizational contexts and in developing critical historical pedagogy for AI practitioners and researchers. Outside of academic work she has worked with Microsoft Research, Wikimedia Foundation and Centre for Internet & Society, Bangalore.
